Red Goshawk

The red goshawk is Australia’s rarest raptor. We are leading ground-breaking collaborative research with Rio Tinto and members of the national Red Goshawk Recovery Team to gather information on the movements and habitat utilisation of adult and juvenile birds in northern Australia. The work involves state of the art satellite tracking technology with the aim of better understanding the birds home range and habitat requirements during and after breeding, and the dispersal of juvenile birds.
